Kathy’s career as a Lead Business Analyst is characterized by her ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring that data solutions meet the diverse needs of all users. Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to building equitable data solutions that address the needs of various stakeholders. Her strategic insight and inclusive approach enable her to build strong working relationships across all business levels, from executives and technical teams to end-users and community groups.

During the pandemic, she returned to school to earn her BA in Anthropology from Southern New Hampshire University and her MA in Anthropology from ENMU. Her combination of technical understanding and human insight allowed her to develop a rich and varied career, leveraging her skills to support major corporations and public agencies, including FM Global, IGT, The Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF), and the Rhode Island Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS).

In her role as Lead Business Analyst at FM Global, Kathy has led transformative projects, including the transition of reporting systems from Infoport to PowerBI and the development of innovative applications utilizing Azure Cloud datasets. Her leadership in managing requirements gathering, creating documentation, and conducting user acceptance testing (UAT) has driven significant advancements in the company’s reporting capabilities. Her efforts also include founding the Business Resource Affinity Group for Neurodiversity and the Data Analytics Collaborative Group (DACG), underscoring her commitment to fostering inclusive and collaborative work environments.

She was a founding Mentor for Rhode Island’s P-TECH, or Pathways in Technology Early College High School, program. This initiative forges long-term partnerships between high schools, colleges, industry associations, and businesses to provide students with the education and skills they need to succeed and employers with a pipeline to the workforce of the future. Students enrolled in P-TECH programs take college-level courses while in high school, benefit from internships and mentoring, and graduate with a high school diploma and an industry-approved associate degree. Kathy currently serves as a Technical Advisory Committee Member at Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School.
