Systems Transformation Summer Intern
Lea Thomas (she/her) is a passionate advocate for health equity, driven by a deep understanding of health disparities. Currently pursuing an accelerated Bachelor of Science and Master of Public Health in Public Health and Judaic Studies at the University of Arizona, her academic interests involve navigating complex public health issues, including the social drivers of health, public health policy, and disease syndemics.

As a Systems Transformation Summer Intern at Consilience Group, Lea is applying her public health knowledge by researching funding opportunities that enable counties to maintain status-neutral HIV services for minority populations. Building on her interest in public health policy, she is also assessing the impact of education policy in Tennessee on the current and future well-being of students. Outside of her academic and professional pursuits, Lea enjoys triathlon training, reading, and outdoor activities.
